Orientation.
sitting in a car for 6+ hours is not fun. it makes my whole body, and especially my butt, incredibly sore. GRRR. anyway, my dad and i started driving at around 1ish on Sunday. my dad is the slowest guy ever, i swear to god. aren't guys supposed to be all like "ok throw everything in a bag, and lets go"? I PACKED FASTER THAN THAT SLOWPOKE. he told me we would be leaving at 11, and so i packed everything and was ready at 11. and then what the hell is he doing? he didn't even start packing yet at 11. aerihoaerhiaeroheaoiaaoherr. took me 2 more hours to get him to finish packing and get his ass out the door and into the car. GOSH.
anyway, my dad let me drive like a couple of hours. i was going over 80! WEEEEEEEE. and my dad kept on telling me to slowdown. that partypooper.
so we finally get to Irvine, but we can't find a cheap hotel anywhere. there was HILTON (gosh i love hilton.), mariott, harrahs, and other stuff. all expensive hotels. and my dad was like NOoOOoO too expensive. so we ended up driving further and found some crappy ass motel, called the SEA LARK MOTEL. i had to wash my hair with BAR SOAP. like OMG EW. stupid crappy hotel. i wish my dad wasn't such a big cheapo. thank god it was only for one night, i wouldn't be able to survive 2 nights in a row of washing hair with soap. GROSS.
anyway, so i wake up extra early, and we drive over to UCI. i love that campus sooooo much. its so beautiful with all the trees and grass. its so suburban and homey. i loveeeee it. and so, we start orientation.
first, we had breakfast. i loveeeeeeeeeeeee blueberry bagels. gosh. thats heaven right there. anyway, i'm eating, and i meet some UCI juniors and other incoming freshman like me. then we go to the info conference stuff and break out into discussion groups. our icebreakers were very funny. the questions were, do you pee in the shower, and do you fold or crunch your toilet paper? hahahahha it was funny how passionate everyone was about how nice it is to pee in the shower.
EVERYONE IS SO NICE. it amazes me. i'm sooooooo excited for school. we play these cute games that are dorky and fun. haaha. so laidback. and after touring mesa court, i'm SOOOO GLAD that i chose mesa. its soooo much better than middle earth! and its sooo pretty. and mesa court doesn't have those LOTR names. YAY!
anyway, i hope everyone in college is all nice like the people at orientation. i hope theres none of those fake, talking shit people that there were so many of in high school.
and randomly, i saw ALLIA and VICTOR (from irv) at orientation.
and funny thing that steph told me today.
her EX boyfriend paul, made her a TURKEY HAND (you know those turkeys you draw from tracing your hand) randomly in class one day. and it wasn't even thanksgiving! it was close to easter. and youre in high school. youre 18. not in kindergarten. MY GOD. i laughed sooooo hardddddddddd.
<3. and tonight i am going bowling. i haven't bowled since junior high!
