This week at the hospital was Patient Safety Week. I guess the other 51 weeks we don't give a shit about our patients. ;) There was a safety fair and the employees get to go around to each booth and play games like Jeopardy! or spin the wheel to answer questions. Okay, it may sound boring, but it did break up the day and provided a distraction. Plus more candy! and raffle tickets (I never win anything, but keep trying). After all the booths were completed, we got a free lunch. Okay, so it was just barbecue, chips and a soda, but still they spent some money on us. Still not a fan of barbecue sandwiches. Growing up in the North, I believed barbecue was a verb meaning to cook outside. Wrong. Pulled pork on a hamburger bun isn't my idea of a sandwich. I probably haven't had good barbecue. Also not a fan of the baked beans and cole slaw that usually rounds out the usual Southern dining experience. And don't get me started on sweet tea.
