Kyouko is a Japanese schoolgirl turned entertainer who followed her childhood friend and first love, Shotaro Fuwa, to Tokyo. She took care of him and supported him while he attempted to break into the music industry only to be mocked by the very man she idolized for her simplicity and plainness.
Bent on revenge, Kyouko makes herself over into a more fashionable and youthful image and shows up at LME, the rival agency to the one that signed Sho. She auditions to become one of LME’s newest talents but fails during the final test when its discovered that she lacks the necessary emotion to succeed as an entertainer: love. Since Sho’s betrayal, Kyouko’s locked up her ability to love someone else in a tightly sealed box so that she will never get hurt again. The president sees some potential in Kyouko, though, and offers her a chance to debut if she can successfully learn how to love again or at least get people to love her through her hard work. He creates the Love Me unit of LME specifically for this purpose.
While auditioning at LME, Kyouko also meets Ren Tsuruga, named Japan’s #1 leading male celebrity and the unsuspecting object of Sho’s rivalry. Initially, Ren abhors Kyouko and her reason for entering show business because he considers her motivation to be petty and superficial. He slowly warms up to her as she reveals that not only is she serious about the entertainment industry, but she also possesses an untapped talent for acting. Slowly Ren’s feelings for Kyouko grow into love, but Kyouko only sees him as an irreplaceable sempai. Or does she…? There are feelings of more than respect and admiration lurking within Kyouko’s depths; ones that she’s not quite ready to face.
[Personality]
On the surface, Kyouko seems like a stereotypical Japanese schoolgirl but there is a darkness within her that wells whenever her anger is incited. Usually cheery and upbeat, she can switch towards ominous hatred whenever Sho Fuwa’s name is mentioned within her hearing.
Kyouko’s gutsy and willing to give any job that she’s assigned as a member of the Love Me unit more than 110%. She’ll endure pain, embarrassment, and even Sho if it means succeeding at the job that she’s assigned. She’s a hard worker and has a sympathetic caretaker side that many would not expect, especially considering her recent success in dark, bullying characters.
She’s also a romantic, suffering from childish daydreams of princes and fairies. In fact, she’s convinced that she met a fairy prince when she was a child and even has a momento, a blue rock that she’s named Corn.
[Specialties/Abilities]
Kyouko is able to materialize her dark emotions as chibi-demon forms of herself. Usually the emotions have names such as hatred, betrayal, etc and, if the person is psychically weak enough, they can immobilize a target.
Kyouko's a talented actress, although she's still a beginner and has a lot to learn about the entertainment business.
[Affection] Kyouko makes a great friend but anyone seeking any deeper connections should beware. Her heart's still battered and bruised from the treatment that it received from Sho and thus she's rather unlikely to open her heart romantically to anyone.
Fighting] I would prefer not to have Kyoko killed off... but if she gets into a fight, feel free to hurt her.
Other Permissions] I think Kyouko's rather easy to read, so telepath's will be able to divine her inner thoughts (much to Kyouko's dismay.) Fourth wall breakers are fine as well... but be warned that Kyouko sometimes lives in her own world where denial is king. You can tell her something. Doesn't mean that she'll believe it. (^_~)
