A library aid is a perfect job for you. Only someone with your height could properly put the books away on the top shelf. The library gods will thank you for your hard work.
Ohh~ if it isn't the fangirl. Although if I didn't know any better, I'd say you're trying to pick a fight with me. Where would that get you?
Well, yes, I suppose there is that. It seems long legs are actually good for something. For instance, I'd hate to see someone like you, Miss, struggling to reach the top shelf and possibly injuring herself when she loses her footing on the edge of a lower shelf and plummets to her untimely death.
Also, I don't run away in terror from people I've only just met. I don't think these "library gods" would appreciate young ladies who observe this practice entering their "sacred temple", either.
You have a good point. This must be the perfect job for me, so I should accept it graciously.
YIIEE!!! FANGIRL?!! Crush him, crush him! Is it my fault he startled me last time?! And here I was trying to give praise him sort of as his senior on this island! We'll see how far your height goes when the shelves fall like dominoes on top of you! ' Save me, save me, Miss Mogami!' you'll cry. And the only response you'll hear will be my laughter as you walk away!
You criticize my kind congratulations for lacking sincerity and then use that smile on meeee?!! Unbelievable!! Not that I don't deserve it but I'll rage anyway.
From what I understand, people arrive on this island without any memories other than their names and then gradually they start to regain them again.
What's the point in that, I wonder?
If there was a reason, you'd think whoever's in charge would be less cryptic about it, and, too, the setup seems a little too convenient to be completely random. You've got one of just about every type of character in this place, and basic services are provided upon arrival. It makes no sense.
And that is why I intend to become familiar with the library.
There have been lots of different ideas from people, but nothing solid that I know of. Some people think we're all part of some spooky experiment. Let's see, what else is there...? Oh! There was a guest at the onsen once who suggested we are all a bunch of spirits who have lost our way.
[She wiggled her fingers in his face. Yes, all the way up there.] Spoooooooooky, no?
[Ren blinks down at her, looking far more puzzled, maybe even slightly amused, than looking even remotely scared.]
As I told Gin-san, I'm not afraid of ghosts, or spirits, or whatever you wish to call them. Besides, if we were all a bunch of spirits, wouldn't we have magical powers and be see-through or something?
And if it were an experiment... no, I don't think so. It's true this place is secluded, and strange things happen, but the overall plan seems to have some flaws.
I take it you have an interest in the occult, Mogami-san?
'It sure seems to be a popular hobby around here... even the other Ren likes ghosts. What's with these people?'
I wouldn't say interested. More that I have an open mind. There are all sorts of amazing people here that almost nothing seems impossible. I've all ready met a mermaid and a fairy! And my roommate is a robot! You can't really tell though.
I'm thinking of starting a list to keep track of all the neat people I see.

Wait, did I laugh that last part out loud?

[He doesn't know what to make of this reaction.]
And your name was...?
[Have a fake gentlemanly smile, you earned it! (And whoops, I gave you the wrong one at first. Sorreh. x-x)]

It's, Kyoko. Kyoko Mogami.

You should be pleased. I won't have to refer to you as "the fangirl" anymore now that I have your name, since you clearly aren't one.

Honestly! You're only a little good looking.

[He nods at this all-knowingly, although he clearly doesn't remember anything except the first part of his stage name.]
And you'd also have no reason to...
[Clears throat and imitates her earlier reaction as follows.]
... "GEH!!"
What exactly was with that kind of reaction, Mogami-san? I took offense. To think an amnesiac would be treated in such a manner...
[He didn't take offense. He's just saying he did.]

I guess that's understandable.
[He lets it go, then adds thoughtfully.]

[She didn't ask you to explain, Ren.]
