Ugh
So, I really need to learn to not be so honest.
Today at work, I accidentally gave the wrong breast milk to a baby, and as soon as I figured it out, I told my boss. I'm not terminated, though I was suspended for the rest of the day (I thought I might be tomorrow as well, which actually would have given me time to get a certified birth certificate for my passport), and I have written apology letters to the parents (and will need to apologize in person), and I get no more strikes. Another mistake and I'm let go.
Which...is kind of what I want...not to work there I mean. Obviously, fired isn't great, but...I AM MISERABLE.
My sister (and a few of my co-workers) felt that I probably shouldn't have said anything. And maybe not. But, this place has already taken so much from me, is it going to take my integrity too?
So, I'm thinking about getting just a lame-o retail job in St. Mary's, at least for the month of August. Do any of you know whose hiring? And if I can do a weekend interview?
My head hurts, and I think I'm coming down with a summer cold. Sore throat and a temp of 99.5.
I am taking a break from Prince & Princess 2 to watch Teen Wolf. Jury is still out.
