(no subject)
I can't decide what to work on...yes I have that Victorian to finish with trim and stuff...but I want to start something new or at least thinking of something new before I finish that...it has to do with that Challenge I mentioned in my last post...Brad gamer vs Laura costumer.
But I can't decide...I thought, they this 2nd Victorian on my list (which will be black, white, and patterned) should be pretty quick....but let's not kid ourselves, do I ever do anything pretty quickly? And if it does turn out to be pretty quick, then it's not really a fair costume for the challenge...I'm thinking the skirt & shirt (heavily considering the 70's blouse waist) would take...20-30 hours...MAYBE...the challenge outfit should be more challenging :)
The other option is Renaissance, which has been heavy on my mind as of late...I'm not sure exactly what I want to do in the Renaissance...so far I'm thinking kirtle, and possibly doublet...That would make a complete outfit anyway, and to make things more grand, it'd be nice to have a new & pretty corset...so while I'm at it, I should make a new shift. This sounds like the beginnings of a massive project...maybe double the 60 hours, but maybe not. and I'm counting 60 hours of construction time...as I don't think it's fair to include mock-ups...though maybe it is.
