"I was saying let me out of here, before I was even born it's such a mgrpfm mpfrm mrpf."
Now, I'm sure we know where Spike gets his version from, but tell me, sweets, do you know this song because of Richard Hell or Whiskeytown? Ahh, Ryan Adams is love.
He must really know what it means to be a punk. He really knows.
I loved this bit with the young kids. Very in tune with my dorkesque thoughts of youth. I remember always feelings so squirmy at punk shows because no matter what I was wearing, I knew I was a poseur. Ahh, the glamorous life of being a real punk. ::snickers:: Isn't it silly, but most of those boys I was so in awe of all had mommies waiting for them at home. Heh. Anyway, I liked reading the thoughts of the OC.
He had tasted of wealth and power, like caviar, but was not as plump and juicy as those White Russians she’d had 70 years earlier.
I adore this line, and your characterization of Darla in this was brilliant.
“And what’s with this…mockery? This neon sign on top of your head, come to me my beauties, I wish to eat you,” she said, sweeping her hand over his face, wiping at his eyeshadow, “what are you attempting to be exactly, silly William?”
I love the way you portray them together. Darla is just delicious with him. And isn't it funny that Spike seems to always be attempting to costume himself in some new persona? I suppose the awkwardness of William combined with the family dynamics of his clan never allowed for him to feel completely comfortable in his own skin. Whadda know, Spike's a poseur too.
You’re not good enough. You should know only Angelus and the Master have that privilege. I don’t know what possessed you to even try. Go on, get on home.
::bawls:: My poor, sweet, wittle Spike. Just how many women are going to tell him that he's beneath them? Ahh, okay, I will now tell you a secret. I sorta like Spred. The way he looked at her in amazement when she tells him that he's worth it? Totally melts my heart. Poor overlooked baby. And hee, I love how pharisaical Darla is here. 'Cause lord knows, she must love that tongue. Although, I do agree she might only admit to that at the point of a stake! :D
“Bloody Angelus always turning up when you least expect him! Bloody Dru, giving me grief over my hair! Bloody heat of this bloody summer!”
Hee. You know I love when Spike has these hilarious little temper fits.
"Bloody hell," he thought, as he crunched into himself, "need to get myself a coat first, before all those adventures I’ve been dreaming about."
Ooh! Excellent ending! Oh my, how I loved this! I cannot even begin to tell you. It's funny to think that there are stories of yours that I haven't got to yet. I wonder what other joys await? This fic goes into my top 5 LM fics of all time.
Once again, a gorgeous banner. Kudus to lmbossy!

yup, complete with his mummy complaining about the hairstyle *g*

love the lines you picked out ... all my favourites, but with a new spin through your eyes!
I wonder what other joys await?
I'm completely in the same boat ... she squirrels them away, I'm sure *g*

I always have to skim the comms on LM's flist to make sure she didn't hide a new fic from me. I'm sure she has stories just sitting on her computer that will never see the light of day. Naughty girl. *g*
I love the banner! Really neat job on Darla's hairstyle.

and thanks for the compliments on the banner! ... must admit the hair is all Farrah and required very little from me *g*

::blushes::
I should do some kind of poll on my LJ or something!

*hee* what would the question be ... "how many fics do you think I have hidden", "do you think I'm part squirrel", "should I post the fic I have hidden on my harddrive" :p

Wow. Thank you very much ::is humbled::
but tell me, sweets, do you know this song because of Richard Hell or Whiskeytown?
Richard Hell all the way, baby. ::is such a fangirl for Richard Hell, Tom Verlaine, Patti Smith::
Ahh, Ryan Adams is love.
Also very true!
Anyway, I liked reading the thoughts of the OC.
Thanks! I'm really glad because I wanted people to connect with her and then to have that stripped away in a startling way.
I suppose the awkwardness of William combined with the family dynamics of his clan never allowed for him to feel completely comfortable in his own skin. Whadda know, Spike's a poseur too.
Yeah! Really good point. After all, aren't the ones that try the hardest to keep things up, the ones who have the most to lose?
'Cause lord knows, she must love that tongue. Although, I do agree she might only admit to that at the point of a stake! :D
Oh yeah, the thing with Darla is she absolutely knows what she wants. And how to get it too ;)
This fic goes into my top 5 LM fics of all time.
Awwww, ::is really humbled again::
Thank you so much for that, I'm really glad you liked it. Sometimes it's tricky to know if you will, because it's like you have high expectations now, but I'm pleased if you're pleased.
And yes, the banner is fab! Even the text looks 1970s-esque ;)
