Why they call it the Business Library I cannot understand, as I scored:
- Bridge of Birds: a Novel of an Ancient China that Never Was, Barry Hughart (recced to me)
- The Gate to Women's Country, Sheri Tepper (because I like her)
- Snow Crash, Neal Stephenson (recced to me)
- Spindle's End, Robin McKinley (McKinley!)
- The Rose Labyrinth, Titania Hardie (it looked interesting)
- Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, Susannah Clarke (recced to me, twice; YES I'LL GIVE IT ANOTHER WHACK, sadly the library didn't stock the Murakami you recced although it DID stock books analysing Murakami)
It would've been easier if the last 3 books hadn't been the damnably heavy hardcover versions >.>.
The fiction section of the Business Library (formerly Library 2) is creepy on holidays though, the staircase leading to it was tucked away in a corner and it was so emptyyy. I thought I was the only person on that floor, it turns out I was only the second person on that floor. So quiet my ears rang.
...Yay a proper "journal" post?
overdramatising my wasted life,
