Xavvie

Xavvie, 34, of Worcester, Mass., died unexpectedly Oct. 1, 2007, as a result of injuries sustained in a fall.

She was born in Fort Hood, Texas, daughter of Michael and Candace X. She grew up in Keene and attended Keene schools. She graduated from Brown University in 1996, and received a master's degree in library and information science from Pratt Institute in 2000.

At the time of her death, she was a research librarian at the Women's Crisis Center of Worcester.

She had lived in West Palm Beach, Fla., and New York City, where she worked at RCG Euro Magnet as director of information management.

She loved theater, film, music, popular culture and information research.

Survivors include her parents of Keene; a sister, Carolyn Scott, her brother-in-law, Alex, and her nephew, Benjamin Scott, all of Southborough, Mass.; and several cousins and aunts. Her beloved paternal grandmother, Charlotte, died earlier this year.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, Fla. Beth Israel Memorial Chapel of Palm Beach, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.

The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her memory to the Women's Crisis Center, 799 West Boylston St., Worcester, Mass. 01606. The research library is to be named in her honor.
