The bell rang. The first day of school was over.
So, I got through my first day of classes today while the rest of my family enjoyed the national festival of sleeping in. Looks pretty average as far as school years go. Plenty of annoyances on the horizon, but hey, a semester without nonsense is really too much to hope for. I could complain, but I took care of my stress by drinking Gaterade and eating white chedder covered corn puffs. I have since incurred a tummy ache. I think there's a lesson in that for all of us.
But I'd rather talk about other things besides school, like writing! I'm enjoying bouncing around between projects. It takes a little longer to finish one thing, but it keeps the pressure off and allows me to not get too bored with or burnt out on one thing. Aside from my original stuff, I'm working on the next chapter of From Now On (finally got some inspiration on there. This one will be a doozy, and I mean that in both the good and the bad way), the next part of The Tower (Pokemon fic, Morty/Falkner. Should be short and have sweet, G-rated guy love), the next part of The Kingdom of Illusions (another Pokemon fic, Ash/Misty which contains much of my thoughts on the series in general. Oh the irony of writing Pokemon fanfiction about abandoning childish things!). And I haven't started it yet, but I hope to get going on my next Nights of Summer theme, which I think is gonna be "You are answerable for your fantasies". I have an idea, but I'm not in the zen-mode I was when I first thought of it. That happens so often :/
At this time I think the next chapter of The Tower will come out first, but From Now On and the Kingdom of Illusions are not far behind and it totally depends on what mood I'm in which one jumps ahead. I'm also very close to being done with the annotations for A Little Opposition. I think I should be able to post that up tomorrow.
No matter what nonsense my schedule brings, I'm just thankful I have Tuesdays and Thursdays off :D
EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention I've started a Slayers oneshot I've been meaning to do for... ages, really: A Certain Magic Book.
