Just a Tribute

Nov 30, 2007 00:26

Ignore the title..."Tribute" is stuck in my head.

Anyway...I've made a bunch of wallpapers recently. Since wallpapers are pretty big and since linking hasn't worked out super-well for me on this journal, I'll be posting up the thumbnail and then the link to the full sized wallpaper.

I would really suggest checking out the link...because this thumbnail is pretty hard to see...but anyway, like I mentioned before: I love Phantom Brave! So I made a wallpaper of Walnut. It's my current desktop and I think it turned out pretty good. There are some awesome feathers for texture in the background.

This is a Demon Diary wallpaper...and I'm not too happy with how it turned out. The background really has no coherent flow and the colors really don't go with the image ;_; Oh well...

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g268/DesdemonaVIII/Wallpapers/Takeshi%20Okazaki/musicmeltsallthesperatepartsofourbo.png?t=1196404372
This one turned out a little better then the above wallpaper, but I'm still not too happy. Among other complaints...it's too bright, and the way the background shows through the right eye...ech...it just doesn't look that great. The quote is by Anais Nin if you wanted to know.

Aside from disliking how the text looks on this, I'm satisified with it. This one and the one before it both feature artwork by Takeshi Okazaki. The lyrics are from the song "The Empire" by Dar Williams. I've only recently started listening to her music, but I really like it. I recommend it if you're feeling down.

Oh, I actually like this one :P In case you couldn't tell by the extreme level of cuteness, the art is from Kanon. I like the colors of the forest in the background. It's not a perfect wallpaper, but I think it turned out pretty good ^^

This is probably by favorite from this batch. I love how the background turned out; it's interesting, but it doesn't overwhelm the image. I wish I'd made it to be 1280 x 800 so it would look better when I put it on my desktop...but oh well.

Generally with wallpapers my backgrounds tend to be more abstract, but I've been playing around with more "realism" lately. I really like the "glow" the colors in this wallpaper have. I have got to see Trinity Blood sometime...

Art from Angel Dust! I really like the background on this one, but I don't think the image merges as well as it could :( Aww...but it's cute, right?

I had big plans for the background of this one that didn't exactly pan out. Still, I really like how the earth turned out. The quote is by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

This wallpaper...definately turned out the worst...:(

This wallpaper is veeery simple. It looks decent though. And I think the wallpaper flows with the winter theme.
