The Addiction Begins + Graphics
You know, when I started playing Trinity Universe a few days ago, I wasn't sure how long I'd last through it. The combat was vert different from other Nippon Ichi games I'd played before, there were a lot of tutorials, and they were throwing a lot at me that I just didn't understand. ...But come to think of it... I think that's how I felt when I first played Disgaea and Phantom Brave.
Needless to say, history has repeated itself and I'm now performing combo attacks in my sleep. Literally. That's what I dreamed last night. In the finest tradition of Nippon Ichi, this game's got me and WON'T LET GO.
...Which makes me think I need to give Cross Edge another chance. I didn't ever play it that much because it was so drastically different from Disgaea/Phantom Brave/Makai Kingdom, but I think the battle system it follows is pretty similar to Trinity Universe and I'm much more used to that now.
