Whee!
I don't know my writer this year, as it happens, so I may have to stalk her a bit. :) Because there is not enough Gabriel/Friedrich (Gabriel Knight) in the world!
I wrote five stories this year:
My main assignment -
Meldor, The Silmarillion, Fingon/Maedhros. A look at their relationship through flashbacks and the rescue from Thangorodrim and after.
My assigned pinch hit -
Family, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Peter/Kermit. Okay, the title sucks. I know it. I fail at titling. This is my one long fic, because I seem to do one each year. Post-series Christmas story, and can I just say, I kept shaking my head, because - Jew, writing a Christmas story, from the POV of a Buddhist. Surreal much? LOL
My three treats, all of which topped 1K words, so are in the main collection:
I Love you but I've Chosen Darkness, Lost Boys, David/Michael. Because I couldn't find a song title I liked, so I used a band title. Have I mentioned I fail at titling? Yeah. Recipient said an AU where David won would be welcome, so that's what I did. It was an interesting challenge, because I've already written a post-canon story fix wherein he won, so I had to try a different take on it.
Set (Me&You) = The Result of (Try(Get Things Right)), Tron, Flynn/Alan. My one with the good title! Which, if you took out the spaces in "Get Things Right" (and possibly the ampersand), would totally be a valid AppleScript. *g* This seems to be the one grabbing attention this year. I had fun writing it, and I'm glad everyone seems to think I got the characters dead-on, because confession time: I hadn't seen the movie in probably about ten years. (I've since watched it again, and there's probably a couple things I'd change, but overall I'm happy with it still, so. :) )
A Dawning, Hair, Claude/Berger. Recipient requested shotgunning, which I had to ask the meaning of. And when I found out (smoke shared between mouths while kissing)... why is that so damn hot, when smoking is ick? I dunno, but I had to write it.
So, there's mine! Now, where's y'all's? *heads off to read more*
