First day of classes was great! I'm especially looking forward to my SWAG class (Gender and Sexuality in Popular Music) this semester. It seems like it will be insanely interesting. My prof for my Gawain Poet class seems like a dear. He's already invited the entire class to his home one evening for a social visit! My history of English Lit class looks like it won't be too bad - a lot of books but not too much reading. All in all, these classes seem like they'll be worth the time.

Today's classes, however, seem a little more daunting. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get into my Education class, even though I've been in email communication with the prof. I really hope I can get in; if I have to take the other section of it, I'll have to miss my Shakespeare class, which I really want to take. I need to decide today whether or not I'm going to drop the Russian Cinema class. It seems interesting, but it is a 300-level class in a subject that I don't need to study and it has a weekly screening during the time I do Migrant Aid Tutoring. I'm hoping that by attending class today, I'll be able to make that choice with more ease.

I need some help picking out a piece I can use to audition for Blue Notes!!! Something Jazzy or Bluesy... I suppose I could always use the piece I used last time, but I like to mix things up. :) I have about 10 days to pick something out, so I'm not too worried about it, yet.
