What a day...
Got back today from a quick trip up to MD with the mom to visit my grandparents. Nice trip, but too short. A family friend died today after having a spinal cord injury last week. He was told that he would never have sensation or movement below his shoulders and he'd be on a ventilator and in a nursing home for the rest of his life. He decided that that wasn't a life worth living and refused treatment. If you are so inclined, please pray for his family. It was the best choice he could have made, but it doesn't make it any easier for his loved ones.
