Mediterranean Cruise
This is day one of our 12 day Mediterranean cruise. Never thought my husband would go for one of this length, let alone a cruise but he has lost sight in one eye and I believe in the back of his mind, he thinks he will lose sight in the other one some day and should take the time to see places he never has. While we did Venice 5 years ago, this Holland America cruise begins here and it gave me a chance to pick some items I swore I would if I ever came back.
The only down side is I tore the meniscus in my good (left) knee visiting David at the end of May and am only two weeks post-op. So walking long distances is a bit of a problem. But I will manage. Maybe all this exercise will help the torn ACL. Succeeding days will be a short synopsis, just thought you all might like to see the two sides of Venice I didn't know existed-the other side that is.
The top picture is the industrial side of Venice and the bottom is what we usually think of Venice-that is the first bridge that connects Venice as you take a water taxi in.
