I took a vacation with my son David and we drove from NYC, where he lives through New England into Canada and then ended up in Nova Scotia. A friend of ours that we met in Toronto a few years ago is a make-up artist and is doing the make-up on a new series on SyFy called Haven. If you haven't seen it, it's a bit quirky and off-center so of course I love it!! Spent a day on the set and decided I could NEVER be an actress in a TV series-I could not put up with doing one scene for hours (which is what we saw!!!) But everyone couldn't have been nicer to us.
We also traveled between where they are filming in Lunenburg and the capital of Halifax. What you see in the first picture is what you see when you travel the highway; the other is what you see when you follow the coast line. Always travel the coast line. The people paint their houses in brilliant colors and trim; flowers are colorful, the rock formations are intense. The favorite picture I took is the last one and that is of Peggy's Cove and the lighthouse; which was used in an episode of Haven.
