Gosh I'm so upset!
Usually I'm all about Montessori schools. I've been known to say that I'm sending my kids to a Montessori elementary. However, my mom's friend Leslie's kids (ages 3 and 4) attendED Cholla Montessori on university. And, Monday on the way to school, Hunter, the THREE year old told his mom that he got locked in the bathroom with the lights off. Of course, she assumes Bully, right? Where was the teacher when a 3 year old Bully was locking hunter in the bathroom? Well, friends, the teacher was actually the perpetrator. She thought it would be appropriate to lock a three year old child in the bathroom with the lights off. (Please allow me to just throw in that it is unacceptable for ME to lock kids in the time out room with the lights off, and if they happen to BE in the time out room for more than FIVE minutes, we have to go get an MD from downstairs to make sure they are A-ok. And, these are kids that are seriously harming themselves, or others, or me. THese are not 3 year olds.)

Anyway, Hunter divulged this on Monday after it happened last Thursday. She had to send them to school till the end of the week because she's a single mom, having trouble finding immediate new childcare, you know the drill. She has complained to the school, called the teacher out on it, and complained to a list of boards (provided by yours truly...homegirl is lucky no one would let me call CPS like I wanted to), but she still had to let them go to school there for two more days. It's a Montessori that she pays like 500 bucks a month to go to, what's the worst that could happen? TODAY another teacher calls and informs her that Hunter just got locked in the bathroom again. This makes me cry. He is already afraid of the dark, I'll be surprised if I can even get him to go in the bathroom next time I babysit. Anyway, before I was determined to fix the problem, now I have every intention of getting her certification revoked. All of my bleeding heart child psych friends are furious too. Ark I'm so upset.
