I feel kind of weird posting when I haven't updated in forever, but oh well. If I wait for something memorable to say, I'll be waiting a long time :)

Work is work and life is going just fine. The boys went back to school- fourth and second grade this year. ( they're getting huge )

So hard to believe your kids are that big now! I'm sorry to hear about the Scout cabin, though - what was it used for?

As for the run - I'd probably do the 20-mile run with a medal at the end. If you're working up to do a marathon, I'd be worried you'd risk injury or overexhaustion doing the 50K with hills. But that's me.

Looking forward to seeing you next weekend! We could meet you at the finish line, give you a ride back to our house for a shower and then go to lunch and take you back to your car (at the starting line area, presumably) afterwards?

The Scout cabin was used for meetings and storing all their equipment. They lost quite a bit of stuff, and it's going to affect them for a long time. It's crazy.

I think you're right about the 20 miler. I'll either do that or just do a regular 20 miler on my own- it may depend on Pack meetings. I just don't have the training in for the 50K.

I am so looking forward to seeing you as well! That plan actually sounds perfect. I was originally going to park at the finish because I am slow and didn't want to deal with the shuttle after, but this is better. I probably won't cross until around 12:00, but if you don't mind a late lunch, that works great!

We're also coming up to Bethlehem the day before to get my packet. We might go hit the DaVinci Science center or something else in the area, if you guys want to join us.

Would your boys like the Crayola Experience? I'm not sure how artsy they are, or if the science museum is more their thing. (I've actually never been to the DaVinci Center, but my kids have for various field trips and I think they've grown past it for the most part.) Or maybe we could just have you guys over for a meal or something? My BIL/SIL will be here that weekend, but if you don't mind that, you're welcome here. What time will you all be up on Sat? (Will's boss has always done packet pickup for our relay team, so I have absolutely no idea when it is - or even where it is!) Just let me know if there's something you'd rather eat (or not eat) the day before a race. :)

I'm hoping it's not going to rain on you on Sun, although the tree cover for some of the route will help a little if it does. But, anyway, I'm ok with a late lunch. Fingers crossed for a fantastic run!

Argh! It turns out I totally forgot about the boys' soccer games, so we aren't leaving to come up to Bethlehem until 3:00. We'll get my packet, maybe hang out at the Art Stacks for a bit, but probably start heading home right away. Because with their soccer games, I can't do the grocery shopping before we go, and there's no way I'm going to want to do it after the race tomorrow!

So it sucks, but I'll just see you tomorrow?

I had a thought: Even though you'll need to head home straightaway, would you like to bring your change of clothes TODAY, and drop them off at our house, so you don't need to worry about having them on hand at the finish line tomorrow?
