Heard from hubby's company- did not get the job. A little bummed, but not overly shocked. I was hoping, but I also knew my skill set wasn't a direct match, and there are people out there whose skill sets are.

I also keep hearing from a headhunter, but she keeps sending me jobs that are 50 miles away. Which is where Exxon and Sunoco are, and given that I'm a fuel scientist, that makes sense, but still. 50 miles of commute (plus the Schuylkill, which sucks) is just not happening. So the job hunt is on a stall again, although at least I have the after school stuff.

I also have not had time this week to sit down and look through Monster or anything. One of the big projects I wanted to accomplish is painting Toby's room. So goodbye to the little boy murals of construction equipment and trains, and hello to a very, very pretty blue-gray color that he picked. (I love the color he picked.) He also wants a navy stripe around the top. We got three big poster frames, and he's picked out three posters- Percy Jackson, Gryffindor Quidditch, and Star Wars. I figure posters aren't expensive, and he can change the posters as his tastes change, although I suspect these three will last him for several years.

He also really wants a map of Middle Earth, specifically this one. Which I'm fine with, despite the price tag, because someone in this house will always love LOTR. But now I am struggling in a good way- Thinkgeek is having a sale, buy any one item, get the second half off. So I'm giving myself leave to buy something for around 40.00 at Think Geek. But what? It's not I can't find anything, it's I can find too much.... Although realistically, I'll probably end up getting a Lego set and saving it for Christmas. Half off Legos is a good deal. But we'll see... :)

Ugh. I started this before the kids went to school and just finished. Too much to do today. Better get the kids to swimming- have a good one!
