Oh good :) I've been dying to talk, and I feel like in this chapter, since you've seen the planning posts, I'm not spoiling any big shocks.
It's not even that Felix doesn't want to make a big issue out of it- it's that Felix doesn't see that there's an issue to be made, if that makes sense. My personal headcanon for Felix is he grew up on Picon, which seems to be fairly similar to Caprica from the little we hear of it. So, Felix never had people making an issue of him being gay, and just doesn't get that Kurt does. He can't quite wrap his mind around it.
And yeah, once Kurt sleeps with Baltar, the deal is SO sealed and Felix HATES him. But by then it's also really easy. :)
I have totally wanted to make Felix and Kurt sing at each other! I think they won't because it gets a little distracting, but I've absolutely considered it.
Kurt does have some of the self-importance, but it's not quite the same as Starbuck. (I think Felix also has more of an issue with her disregard for the rules, which Kurt doesn't do nearly so much.) Actually, the way I see Felix and Kurt is the reason that they can't get along has to do more with the fact that they're so much alike. Not in superficial ways, but in other ways. They're both very efficient, very hard workers, and have high standards for everyone else. They're both sarcastic and bitchy, they're both atheists, they both have their values and cling to them hard, and they are both hard-headed and stubborn in their ways. They also are both very capable of putting up walls. They have a lot of differences, too, but the similarities in certain aspects of the personalities means that they'd probably either be best friends or great enemies :)

Yeah, that works. Kurt is very similar to Rachel and can either be BFFs or deadly rivals with her.

Talk all you like! I love getting insight into your thought process behind your BSGlee epic.
