Summary: When Dee is promoted to XO of the Pegasus, a lot of people aren't too happy about it. But no one's unhappier than Hoshi, who thought he should have had the job.

Oh my god, I love this. So much. I don't even know where to begin. Their snarky rivalry is kind of made of a lot of win. :) I can't wait to see where you go with this.

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it. Dee can be the snark queen when she wants to- every now and then she pulls it out in canon. And Hoshi's got enough balls that he pesters Tigh for two days about sending an S&R mission for Felix. Me? I would have given up after Tigh glared at me the first time (or at least wet my pants.)

Ooh. I just realized that Dee is filling Kendra's shoes. Whoa.

"Come have a drink, Lieutenant," he said, in a gruffly kind tone that Dee had rarely heard from him.
Yay, more gruffy Tigh! I could totally picture him here.

"But why are you telling me this? It doesn't seem like it's Pegasus policy to be nice to the new resident slut."
Wow! This is a whole different Dee. I take it back. I would have loved this Dee to have met Kendra. And Dee is competent. She'll figure it all out.

Wow, what an interesting take on Dee and Hoshi! Completely unexpected. They both have such a sweet side to them in canon but not here. Oh well, I'm on board until the end because it's all intriguing. And I do think she will hook him up with Felix at some point . . .

I know, right? Talk about some scary shoes to fill. This crew is never going to look at a dark haired, small woman the same way again! :)

Hehe :) I think the key word there is definitely side. This is also the same Dee that pretty much casually informed Anders their spouses were frakking and puts Bill in his place and rescues Kara (OUCH- my favorite Dee scene of all time) and pulls the trigger. And the same Hoshi that survived watching Cain shoot Belzen and knowing that Cain had her ex-lover raped and was insubordinate to Barry Garner (I think it was him) and pestered Tigh for two days to send a S&R mission. They're sweet, but they're both pure steel, too. And I think they're actually very, very similar. (All three of them- Gaeta's got that sweetness with a steel spine, too.) They're SO much fun :)

Thanks so much! I'm having fun with these two, especially after finishing with the mutiny from the Gaeta-Zarek perspective. :) Bitchy!Hoshi is especially fun. I'm loving him. (Hey, the guy who hooks up with Gaeta has got to have his own share of bitchiness.)

Thanks! Yes, yes he can. And he is stubborn as all hell when he puts his mind to something (see: bugging Tigh for two days.). And he survived Cain. Hoshi might have his sweet, gentle side, but I'm guessing there's a hell of a lot of steel there, too :)
