There is a contest outline here. Let me know if you need a better explanation.

Also, just to get an idea. You make a layout and post a link to it in the LLS Audition community. People will judge it saying what they like/don't like and if they have any browser issues, etc. There will then be a poll posted in freelayouts and the users will vote for which layout they like best. Then so many people move on to the next round and it starts over again until it's down to two people. Then a winner is chosen to receive a year paid account. :)

1. Yes, it needs to be a live version.
2. You do not have to provide the codes, that is entirely up to you.
3. You should be able to see examples I accepted your membership in the lls_auditions community. Let me know if these links work for you: 1, 2. 3.

Also, I forgot to mention for the Audition round you can use any layout you want. Old or new.
