Cheap Seats

I have to say my favorite show to watch these days (and I watch probably too much of it) is Cheap Seats.

Here is the official website http://www.cheapseats.tv/

This is quite an interesting idea for a show. Most people are not gonna know about this show because it airs on ESPN Classic. The premise of the show in a small small nutshell is two brothers watch old sports footage with searing commentary, some great sketches, and features. It would compare to Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Beavis & Butthead.

The reason I love this is because first off, it's sports related, and everybody that knows me knows that I am a sports FANATIC. Number 2, it is hosted by the Sklar brothers, Randy and Jason. They are awesome. They make very obscure references that only a few people probably get but its just so damn witty. The sketches are fantastic and almost always include someone from Reno!911.

Even people who don't give a crap about sports will love this, I think. It doesn't even really cover sports but makes fun of pseudo-sports: spelling bee, national rodeo, putt-putt, scrabble, dog shows, cheerleading competitions, etc. Sometimes they do throw in a real sport, though.

Ok well I am gonna get ready to go watch these guys in about 10 minutes! Randy and Jason look at bull riding and the art of lawn mower racing. Oh yeah.

God, I love the MST3K silhouette they got going on there...nice homage to the pioneer show!
