There's a lot of juvenile humor, but this series has potential imo. For a show lauding itself as Reno 911 with zombies, the characters are definitely more likable. They like each other, they know their shit, but they also have a morbid sense of humor about their jobs. Rinaldi and John John are bad asses. And Kirsten, but no one is ever around when she shows it, poor girl.
I like the slow build of mythology and heirarchy going on too regarding werewolves/vampires/zombies. Werewolves are seen as reasonable; they are free to work, raise families, be in relationships, have insurance, etc. Vampires are seen as parasites, and take on the roles of a disease in society as well (sex traffickers, drug use through their blood, criminals). As for zombies, well, as long as they aren't fresh and you have a bat, they aren't taken seriously lol (if they are fresh, though, you're screwed).
