Recently bought some super cheap comics and just wanted to share them~
Kristin and I took a leisurely stroll through Frank & Sons recently and I went a little crazy at the booth with .25¢ Comic Buffet! (Not Pictured: an issue of The Sandman Series, another issue of Hellblazer: Constantine)
A healthy stack of the Fables spin-off Jack of Fables. Eric got me ALL into Fables and I couldn't resist!
Annihilation: Conquest STARLORD. I have no clue what it's about but it looks cool and sci-fi-y.
Daughters of the Dragon, The Gunwitch, and 1001 Arabian Nights - Adventures of Sinbad. All look pretty cool~ I've heard of the Gunwitch from the Nocturnals series. I've wanted to read that series but I guess another spin-off will have to do for now, lol~
Skelebunnies, Hellblazer, and Strangers in Paradise. I read Skelebunnies and it was funny, wishing so bad to be Roman Dirge. Cuz I love the canonly-bi Constantine. And... Mucha.. duh.
So I says to Kristin, I says "I'm instantly drawn to anything with the word 'obscura' on it. 'Terra' is just icing on that cake." Plus, Alan Moore! OMFG a Blair Witch Comic?! I read it.. it's good. Real good. 8B I'll be honest, I thought that last one (Sandman Mystery Theater) was part of Gaiman's Sandman series so I got it, but I flicked through it and it seems really cool and Dick Tracy-ish!
Like I mentioned before, I got an issue of the actual Sandman/Endless series and I'm making Ellen read it now. It's about Baghdad and its King that brought his city to full glory.. yet still mourned for it. Really, very beautiful.
