Last Friday I bought a pound of crab at Kroger for 3.99. The deal was just too good to pass up (even if I am a few Jacksons away from broke). Tonight I finally had a chance to break out the steamer, and I will say it was the best 4 dollar pound of King Crab ever. Not being fully satisfied with one pound, I dug through the empty shells for passed over morsels of meat. After discovering a large chunk in one of the claws, I inserted my index finger and applied super-human force to snap the bastard open. It finally gave way, with about a 1/4 inch piece of crab-shell protruding from the side of my finger, bleeding profusely. I'm not about to go to the hospital and explain that I need stitches because my crab dinner fought back. Needing my ear stitched back on my head because of a golf injury was aristocratic enough for me. Moral of the story, tea bags work great for bleeding! I saw it on some Battlefield Remedies TV show a while back and thought I'd give it a try, stained my finger yellow but there's definitely some serious coagulation going on in there... So, if you ever suffer a flesh-wound, strap on a moistened lipton before hitting the E.R.
