cars and crap

so what a day it has been today. it started off with me taking my car in to get some tune up and keep it healthy work. now big deal. 1 hour and a few hundred dollars later everything is perfect. wymann is taking me back to get my car when we stop at the bank to get quarters to do laundry and all of a sudden his car wont start. the stereo and what not works but it won't turn over. we walk to get my car (not to bad - the car place is about a mile up the road) and then we drive back to his car and suddenly it works. we then take his car to the car place and pay 85 for a diagnostic so that they can tell us what is wrong with it. 3 hours later it is just a battery and fuel filter. seems a little fishy to me but whatever. they replace those to parts and wymann drives my car up to pay for it and get his keys (i'm at school at this point). when i get home i take him to get his car so that he can go to his indoor soccer game and i have to stay home and do work because i'm behind in my reading for the classes that i'm teaching. not 20 mintues later i get a ohone call from wymann because he is pulled over to the side of summerlin parkway and the engine is smoking (the radator has burst). i come and met him, have to call my friend melissa to get numbers for a tow company, and then we wait for about an hour for the tow man to get there. mind you summerlin parkway is a road the size of I-40 or perhaps the Washington Beltway. Las Vegas doesn't mess around with its roads. then it cost 120 dollars to tow the car about 20 miles back to the car place. and we get to go there first thing in the morning and have a field day with that. because the last person to touch the car was the car man and wymann has had NO tourble with it at all, save for the glich this morning. and to top it all off we got a diagnostic done - if there was something that was wrong with it then they should have caught it today and told us about it so that we could have it repaired. but they did not do that. i hope that i can (without a lawyer) convince them to pay to fix the car now. it is completely their fault that the radiator cracked. now if they had warned us and we had ignored them that would have been different but that is just not the case. and now it is approaching midnight. i've gotten none of my reading done and i'm not sure that i can do everything that i need to do and go to work tomorrow. i think that i am just going to have to either go in early or not go in at all. and i've never called in to this place i'm not sure how that works. i guess the worst thing that can happen is that they fire me and to be honest i think they need me too much for that and i don't really care anyway. the little bit of extra money is nice but it's not paying the rent or anything. i don't know. i guess i need to be working on figuring out the game plan for tommorrow first and working on my literature reading istead of typing here but i just had to vent because the whole day has been unbeleiveable. and to top it all off we figured out that wymann has developed an allergy to red meat today and my grandmother (scott's mother so dont' freak crystal) had another stroke today.
