1) Francesca and ray vecchio swop bodies while ray's on stakeout with fraser. Frannie finds she's in a car with fraser, and she's like 'ooooh, this is like my dream! Where I totally put the moves on him!' and then she leans over and kisses him. Then she realises she's kind of got a dick. And Fraser's kind of murmuring 'Ray- I hadn't dared to dream ( Read more... )

I'm with Mal--*squick, squick, squick!* on the Frannie bodyswap fic. It's not because I can't see Fraser doing Frannie in the right circumstances, because I can, obviously (see Makeup). I think my problem with it is that in the scenario you suggest, Fraser thinks it is actually Ray.

If he knowingly has sex with Frannie, that's one thing. But if he has sex with Frannie because he thinks she is RayV? Then it's non-con. I'm not one of those who refuses to read non-con (anymore than I would refuse to read a cop story with a murder in it), but this is a "good" character abusing another character without his knowledge, and that hurts. I don't even think it's the sex that would bother me, but the intimacy. Fraser would not agree to allow Frannie to know him in this intimate way. He might actually perform a sex act with her if absolutely necessary, under the right circumstances, but the love/intimacy thing? Ouch, no, I can't see that, and I seriously do not want to.

I'm not sure I understood the dream aspect, though. Of course, if it is actually a dream, and no one is abused in waking life, then all bets are off, and anything pretty much goes.

As far as RayV with girly bits, if you find him sexy, why the hell not? Bodyswap fic can be fascinating (ask me how I know--I'm writing RayK with girly bits at this moment! Multitasking!). And he certainly would have some very funny reactions! Hee! OMG, I think he'd have a harder time with it than RayK would. I'd say go for it.

Ah, yes, I should clarify: I don't think Fraser would consent to sex with Frannie under those circumstances (or, IMO, anything but extraordinary circumstances like those in your story), and he would most certainly neither feel or behave in the same way as he would with someone (e.g., Ray-of-choice) whom he loves and has been longing for.

Which for me, again, is what takes it over the line into non-con.

hmm- I do see what you mean- it's weird, because Frannie's gone to sleep and woken up in a car with Fraser, and thinks it's a dream because it's such a weird thing to happen. But it is still non-con- what if Frannie realised she was a guy and this wasn't a dream before it progressed beyond kissing?

And this is more one of my plot bunny tossouts- a 'wouldn't it be great if someone who wasn't me wrote this?'- I'm pretty cagey about what I'm actually writing usually.

Ooooh, Yay, RayK bodyswap *g* This'll be good.

God, I hope so. I've been working on it for going on two years, at this point, and people must be very tired of hearing about it and its not-done-ness. However, I'm aiming to have it out by next week.

The dream/not a dream idea for Frannie? Synchronicity, because the very beginning of the Girl-RayK story has exactly that happening. He wakes up as Rae, Fraser's wife, and doesn't realize it isn't a dream.

Of course, I think the big difference here is that in my story, Fraser does love RayK in this and all universes (that is one premise of the story), and he is Rae's exact counterpart, not a completely different person, like Frannie. You've read the first bookend story (by isiscolo) in this series, I take it? If not, it's here: Being Ray Kowalski

Also, when Ray does realize where he is, he won't hide the fact. But enough spoilers. :) Am working feverishly on it even now, and it's over 36,000 words.
