And because, hii, kind of burnt out ficwise for a couple of days, I have compiled a post of amazing happymaking music for you! Hope you're having a great day!

Running out of Days - 3 Doors Down

This song is just- just *hearts*. It has one of those really rock-out starts to it, with the guitar opening, and a cool bass bit and is a headnodding song. And I like his voice.

Sunshine - Aerosmith

My love for Aerosmith is deep and profound. And this song is beautiful, as are pretty much all the songs on Just Push Play. By the time the chorus comes around, you just can’t help but sing along *beams*

Love in an Elevator- Aerosmith

C’mon, do I need to explain this one? Just…it’s about having sex in an elevator. It would rule even without the cool vocal intro *hearts*

Brighter than Sunshine- Aqualung

This is just beautiful, really lovely- quieter then the previous songs, but one that makes you sit back and smile contentedly.

Don’t Worry, Be Happy- Bobby McFerrin.

Another love that is deep and profound. This *will* make you smile. It’s goofy and adorable.

Lovefool- The Cardigans

Okay, so I sing along to most music, but this is the one I sing in front of the mirror and do the hairbrush pose thing to. Happy and sweet, if you…if you don’t listen too closely to the lyrics *g*

Lucy- The Divine Comedy

Ohh Neil Hannon *hearts*. Funny and snarky, not afraid to be intelligent, great guitar parts, *wordsworth*. Also, this reminds me of one of my best friends in the whole wide world.

Local God- Everclear

Arrogant, sexy, fun. I swagger when I’m walking when this comes on *beams*. This is a Hugh song.

Talking ‘Bout My Baby- Fatboy Slim

The image at the beginning of this is just wonderful. Summery as a very summery thing

Oli- Fidaddle

I know this band- they’re a folk band from round near where I live in Wales. It helps that the violinist is as hot as a very very very hot thing. Just a gorgeous folky piece, fun to listen to.

Razor - Foo Fighters.

So beautiful it’ll make you all tingly. Grohl’s voice on this is just gorgeous, all fragile and husky, and the words are just amazing. Makes me think of Kara/Leoben.

Staring at the Sun- J Englishman

The melody is all soaring, it’s lovely. *hearts*. Not as rocky as a fair bit of his other stuff, but the chorus is great *g*

Seaside Rendezvous- The King’s Singers

A Queen cover. Yeah, I know, I know, but the King’s Singers do *great* covers. They’re an all vocal group, so the instrumental parts are all done with voice, and it’s just so fun! They use *kazoos* *loves*.

Heaven is a Halfpipe- OPM

Ah, OPM. Where are they now? I don’t know, but I like this song *hides*. It makes me happy.

Ain’t Misbehavin- Peter Cincotti

Seriously, this guy is young, and hot, and his ma writes his lyrics, and he’s an amazing pianist, and his voice is just *swoons*

I’m a Believer- Smashmouth

Shrek. Need I say more? Didn’t think so *g*

Just Looking- Stereophonics

Ohh, Kelly Jones, how I adore you, with your gravelly voice and your welshness and general adorableness. Brilliant chorus, again, and just such a generally feelgood song.

No Cheap Thrill- Suzanne Vega

This makes me think of Lady Shoes. Breezy, challenging and sexy, this song is just such a kickarse track. It’s the sort of female vocal I love, it’s a *Starbuck* vocal, not all ‘I love hiiiiim oh noes, angst angst angst’.

The Stone- Mundy

It has the sea in the background, and is a song about a pebble. What is there not to love? *hearts*. And he sings with an Irish accent.

Beautiful Day- U2

Needs no explanation really. Just a song that makes me smile.

Coffee Time- Acoustic Triangle

This is jazz- well, it’s composed jazz, in that the performers have formal classical training, and the piece is a lot more structured than some free jazz. It’s a cool piece, and the piano playing’s amazing on it., and when the sax comes in it’s just so fun the way they interact- it sounds more like a performance than a recording.
