OOOH. *shivers* I adore this. The whole thing is wonderful, but the first section especially… this is a complicated history, and you say so much with so little, so when they finally do click together, it's with the weight of all that meaning behind them. You have such a unique, surprising way of putting things, it's really striking, and I love the rhythm of this, and the hints of Vecchio's past even as he's moving forward with Kowalski, everything melding together. Beautifully done. And HOT, too. YAY for you! :D
