Gearing up for a winter hike (and future ones)

Now that I have my tent, I was able to do an initial weight test of my pack.

It actually didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would be.

Total weight so far: 29 Lbs (Will break out items later for further reduction if possible)

Includes:
Kelty Coyote 4900 pack (Obviously required)
Rain cover for pack (required)
REI Quarterdome T2 Tent (Its what I've got for now. I'm too tall for one-man tents)
Footprint for above tent (can maybe ditch this)
2x 40oz Klean Kanteen w/ water (might want to add my 27oz canteens, but this is a start)
Rain jacket and pants (I don't like to not carry them)
REI Subkilo Sleeping bag (required)
Thermarest sleeping bag pad (Required. I hate not having a pad)
MSR Sweetwater filter (required)
Cheap compass (required)
Canon 20d (required, of course. :P)
Canon 10-22mm EF-S lens (maybe? I don't like the ultra-wide perspective, but for hiking sometimes you want something in the 20mm range)
Canon 50mm F/1.8 prime lens (I wonder if I should replace this with a 35mm prime? Either way, its a hell of a lot better than packing around my 24-70 L lens)
Canon 100mm F/2.8 macro (My tele and macro lens. Last trip I brough the 70-200 F/2.8L IS, that was dumb for backpacking)
Extra CF cards
Camille the Cat (WTF? My cat crawled into my backpack while I wasn't looking. She was not, in fact, part of the weight test, nor will she be coming with me. :P)
Biodegradable soap (definitely required :P)

Not included yet:
Food (ouch, but dry food is relativly light)
Bean Can (double ouch. Also, I might need to get a smaller one since I'm switching to solo, and the large one never fit in my pack well, the 4900 is too narror to turn it sideways)
GPS (maybe. I'll want this for extended hikes I think, but I can skip it for regions I'm really familiar with if I have a 7.5' map)
Extra clothes (don't have any of these factored in yet, but they pack down well and are light)
Medikit (Buying next week, these are be made pretty light)
Tent lantern (Black diamond makes a nice ~4oz LED lantern that'll work)
Flashlight (I have a hand-crank LED one that I might bring, but I might be able to just use the lantern. Alternatly, get a powerful LED pen light, but they don't project very far)
Leatherman (Gone awol, or I'd have included it in the test. I hope I find it, was a gift. :/)
Stove and Fuel (buying next week, will test the weight again when I get these)
Ice traction thingies (Will need this for some winter hiking, might as well use it for a packweight high water mark, but I won't usually have them)
Camp towels
Camp pillow (maybe, I can use clothes for this. I thought I had one of these, but I can't find it.)
Cookset (I thought I had one of these too, but I can't find it either.)

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but the list is getting there. Changing my camera lens lineup will make a huuuuge difference over the last hike, but I'm having to carry everything myself now, so we'll see if that's a wash. If I can stay under 45Lbs for a 5-day trip, I'll be pretty happy. I think that's achievable.
