Well, it's finished.

For the past month I've been working together with the rest of the english visual-novel translating community localizing a short piece by the name of ~歌~ (Plain Song).

I think that one of the founding members of the community, Haeleth, summed it up nicely;

"'You're the one always spouting stuff about the potential of the genre,' said gp32. And I thought, it's true, I am. These works may well be the closest we've come yet to the perfect medium to convey what an author imagines to his audience.
Of the few westerners who've even heard of visual novels, most seem to have damaging misconceptions based on certain vendors picking awful examples and selling them in America under misleading names like 'hentai' and 'dating sims'. The works we present here are not like those. These are worth your time."

A total of seven completely translated games were released today, ranging in length from some that can be read in a matter of minutes, up to pieces that are many hours long.

Translating the visual novel Plain Song took me somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 hours. Giving a new medium of entertainment a try will take you about 30 minutes.

If you're interested, visit the following site which was put together by the coordinator of the community's efforts, then relax for awhile and enjoy what we've been working on.
