Last night was just a regular night, somewhat. A little juggling practice, then off to bed early, for it had been a long day. The dreams and tales of snow showers starting at 3AM must have begun to get to our heads, even though we were determined not to get our hopes up. This is, in fact, South Carolina, after all. For the first time I've ever seen it without an alarm, Andrew wakes up at 6:55AM, freaking out, grabbing me, kissing me, etc. Which is not a bad thing at all, just quite unexpected. As we both wake up, he explains that he had a nightmare that we were in his house and I had a heart attack, and he was afraid he'd never see me again, and it was such a long dream, etc. I eventually calm him down and assure him that my heart is perfectly fine and he'll be seeing me plenty, so he decides to actally get out of bed (*gasp*) and check out the window, just in case. "Well I'll be damned" was all I needed to hear to get me as giddy as a kid on Christmas. That's right darlings, snow, and about three inches of it, in Clemson, right in the heart of the South Carolina upstate. Dixie, if you will. So we get all geared up and go outside, and it's a fantastically majestic landscape of winter wonder. The boy, being from Atlanta and rich, therefore going skiing a lot, doesn't think it's a huge deal, especially considering his especially easy school day. But I, being from Charleston and having scheduled four classes starting at 9:30 on Thursdays, am thoroughly excited, albeit a big disappointed, that the university is only on a two-hour delay. Oh, this is fabulous though. Happy snow day, Upstate!
