This ain't greasy enough to be a real philly cheesesteak!

I went to make a HotPocket today, because I honestly think that this is the first time that we've ever had them in our house, and there are two seperate sets of instructions, as usual on things like this. The first set is microwave directions for a soft baked bread crust, and the second set is for conventional oven with a crispy oven baked crust. Crispy oven baked crust sounded good to me, until I realized it had to bake for 32 minutes versus 2 minutes in the microwave. So I decided, as I'm sure you would, that 30 minutes was much too long to wait for crispy versus soft goodness.

This is the most interesting thing that has happened to me in the past week. Except, not really at all. It's more like a metaphor, if anything. Of my life in general. Settling for something not quite as good because it takes a lot less time and effort. Except in my life, I have another metaphorical HotPocket baking and forming a crispy, golden crust in the oven while I eat my easy, soft one. It's like having your cake and eating it too, or something retarded like that. I like the way things are going now.

Do you?
