There's Nothing Better Than Good Friends . . . and chocolate

So my spur of the moment Redlands visit was very successful, although now I miss everyone there more than ever. Highlights of the weekend include:

- renaming St. Patrick's Day St. Patrick Swayze Day
- twister tournament - I made it to the finals! but unfortunately fell to James' cheating
- wearing Molly's underwear on my head as a dare
- throwing out my neck headbanging to Whitesnake - Here I Go Again
- sitting outside with Jen, bundled up to ward off the cold, until 4 am (twice)

The only downside was that Jen's cat, Hermione, apparently hates me know. I used to spend so much time with that cat, and she totally loved me! Apparently she's mad at me transfering. Or something. But I've never had a cat hate me before, usually animals love me. It was really depressing actually, because I'd been looking forward to lots of kitty cuddles and instead spent the weekend trying to avoid being attacked.

I'm reading R.M Berry's Dictionary of Modern Anguish right now. It's a collection of short stories, if you can call them that. I can't decide if it's pretentious and irritating or totally genius. In any case, it's interesting, although each one takes a lot of attention and energy. Anyone read it or any of his other works?
