WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS?
So, I am in a wedding on friday. I am so excited and am having the best time and am very honoured to be a part of it. That being said, I hope David's Bridal dies a long and lingering death. In particular their alterations department.
The dress we are wearing is very pretty (nothing I would choose for myself) but still, very pretty. It is red and strapless and frankly cost a lot of money. I ordered it from overseas, when I tried it on it was waaaayyyy too big and had to be altered considerably (about 200$ of alterations on top of the $184 price tag for those of you counting along). Once I found the appropriate bra the alterations looked great so I left it there in the hopes that the people there knew what they were doing.
WRONG. They managed to sew it incorrectly, making the bodice bunch in the back, putting too much stress on the zipper (it looks seriously precarious guys), and worst of all, they managed to screw up the chest bit so it rides down in the front (almost indecently), but is too tight in the back AND GIVES ME BACK FAT CLEVEAGE.
....This is on top of them not steaming the dress, making us wait 20 minutes after our appointment time to try it on, AND NOT ALTERING THE DAMN BELT LIKE, AT ALL. Oh, and when I asked what I should do to, ya know, NOT flash the congregation, Jesus, and all the saints up in heaven my tits, the lady laughs and suggests double sided tape. Now look, I don't wear many strapless dresses cause I think they are silly, but It is my understanding that ladies with larger breasts are able to you know hold them up...if a strapless can't be held up by MY chest I think there is a serious problem...and the point of getting it altered is so that it DOSEN't require tape...
I'm pretty sure I am overeacting to this and I am sure I will look fine, but damn, for that much money you would think they could do something right....
