And this marks my 1000th post. I noticed a couple of days ago that I had reached 999, and realized that my 1000th post had to happen after the Great Move to Tokyo. So here I am, crashing at Jill's today so that I can move into my new house tomorrow. On my 26th birthday, I finally did what I set out to do when I was 15. It took 11 years, but I did it! =D
Birthday was a blast after all the traveling. I was up at 3 AM to finish packing and left the apartment at 5. I had walked for about 20 minutes when an old man on a bike recognized me (his wife taught at one of my elementaries) and asked me if I needed a ride to the station. THAT WAS SUCH A GODSEND. Then I got hit on by a 80 year old man with amazing English and two teeth, not cool but he had pictures of all his cats!
Hauled my stuff to Jill's, then I met her neighbor's grandson and we all went to go eat and bowling. Jill ended up winning this adorable llama purse from the UFO catcher, and I kicked some serious bowling ass. After a dessert meeting at Outback, a good time was had by all. Her neighbors are really sweet people.
I'm beyond exhausted, but I'm happy at how things are turning out so far. Next adventure, sushi and then moving to the new place! I can't wait!
