Bloody hell

A couple weeks ago, my computer had a meltdown. It decided that I had no operating system, and that my system drive was full of random crap. So exactly a week ago, I reformatted the system drive, and everything was fine. The other partitions on the hard drive were fine, so the only important things I lost were system files (and I'm always looking for an excuse to redo Litestep) and the stuff in My Docs. I spent a week fixing up the computer, making pretty accounts, tweaking my new Litestep shell, and generally making my computer a nice place to be, and then it crashed again. Same exact problem, and very sudden. One minute it's fine, the next it decided that important system files were corrupted and it couldn't do anything. So I rebooted, and it told me I didn't have an operating system. I'm going to take the computer over to my parents' house sometime in the very near future and burn all my (still existing) files to dvd, and reformat the entire hard drive. Why do computers hate me so?
