tToD's Adventure... and stuff
(1) Wish I wrote Pros fic because I'd like to participate in the summer_of_78. (*pokes self* Stick to the fandoms you do sporadically write in, okay? Just because you read more Pros than any other fandom, you don't have to diversify.)
(2) The drive home Friday was surprising. Not nearly as difficult as expected. The roads were pretty desserted. I made a bit of a mistake, though.
The entrance ramp to 84 that I usually use can be very tricky in wet conditions. It's a short, steep ramp that starts with a stop sign (so no momentum to help ol' tToD's ascent). I chose to take the back road that goes past the mall. Lai Ping swears it is the best road to take in bad weather because it mostly goes downhill in that direction. I knew it wouldn't be well-plowed but thought it might be the best choice.

Almost instantly got stuck behind a car going about 2 miles an hour. (At that speed, it's a long, long road.) There was a lot of snow and slush on the road and certainly shouldn't have been attempted at more than 15 mph, but 2?!?
OMG! I need momentum for traction, chickie! And the downhill bits? OMG! You don't have to come to a complete stop at the top of the little bitty hill and then take up both lanes as you inch down at 1 mph! You realize I have my clutch in the entire way, you, you, you... moron in a ... *drumroll* green Integra.
(Yes, sandpanther, I wanted to call you while I was stuck behind her and tease you about the incompetence of 'Tegra-chan's cousin, but figured it wouldn't be good to interrupt you at work.)

(4) Oops! Forgot to mention the semi truck (full of US Mail) that had its left-turn signal on this morning. You know, the one that suddenly dove two lanes to the right directly in front of me and scared the bejeezus out of me?
