It's called the Sacrifices Arc. You can see the author's summary and the fics on her profile page on ff.net. She doesn't have any posted works that aren't part of the series.
I am currently in the middle of the 5th main story. (There are 7 main stories and one very short side story that fits in after... I think it was the 3rd main one.)
There are places where the story is more wordy than it has to be and there are places where I really want to slap the characters around and have them act differently. But that's not because the author doesn't have a good grasp on the characters. It's because some of the characters are really bad people and some (Harry) are abused children who don't always act rationally. And some aren't necessarily bad people, but they're not always likeable.
I thought the main AU concept the series is based on would be cheesy, but it's really developed into something intriguing to me. The Malfoys, the Parkinsons, and some of the original characters are really fascinating and not entirely what you might expect.
Harry is a bit super powered. I don't mind that so much in this case case because of how he's contrasted with Voldemort and Dumbledore.
Dumbledore is not a good person here. Neither are the Potter parents, who are still alive.
When the author warns for gore, you should believe her. Some of it is pretty darn gross, but I don't think the fic is overly gory.
No sexual abuse... except mention of one Auror who was abused that way in the past.
No Draco/Harry smut yet, though, because Harry has issues. And because I don't think the author is that interested in smut.
Oh, wow. Now that really does sound rather awesome, I must admit. I shall bookmark it and then attempt my hardest not to give in to temptation until I have some free time on my hands (I think I'll probably need at least a week or so? Hee! :D). But thanks so much, that's a most amazing rec!
I'm scared a bit about the last fic in the series, since she labelled it Tragedy/Horror. But I'm now maybe not quite 3/4 through the 5th fic and I'm still very much absorbed in it. There was one bit that was really slow going this weekend, and then one bit that was just... amazing (but hugely spoilerful). I wish I could say more, but I don't want to ruin it.
