(no subject)
I am, as you have probably all realized, ridiculously out of habit in updating this. Unreliable internet is a bitch. Plus I tend to put things on Facebook now, where more friends can see updates, but then I have to take them down and I have no record of my life.
Which is probably just as well. Not a lot of memorable things have happened this winter--well, not many things that I want to remember anyway. It might be for the best that I've been unable to whinge on lj.
So, what's the latest with me? I shall attempt to list a few things.
Just drove the parents to the airport. They spent the last three days with me, touring the Boston area and visiting a few National Parks sites. I made waffle-iron waffles for them. Things went pretty well. I just wish I wasn't so irritable when they're around. I chalk some of it up to several bad nights of sleep, but still.
Life in the barracks has gotten kind of quiet again. We rarely go out more than once a week. I miss the shenanigans.
I just found out that I've been nominated for Phi Beta Kappa. I'm very pleased with this, but a bit perplexed, seeing as I, you know, graduated a year ago.
I'm feeling much better about the whole Fuckwit siutation, the best I've felt in a long time. I hope that this continues and that I don't do something stupid that undoes all the emotional progress.
I've been feeling very restless lately and I hope I won't do something that I'll regret.
I really want some warm weather. I want to wear short sleeves and my light jackets.
I would also like someone to hug on a regular basis. I need more hugs in my life.
Two years ago was the last day of the Ireland trip, which is just full of good memories. I wish I could turn the clock back and relive those moments with Ashley, Yasin, Erol, and Alisande. I miss them.
