Things that have recently made me laugh and need to be shared
1: the concept of a HAM (hypothetical ancestral mollusk). There is a genera of mollusk that was predicted to exist long before it was actually discovered. and HAM is what they called it before it was found in a rock somewhere and given a long and rather silly latin name that is difficult to pronouce. The world should have just left it at ham.
2: the menu for rialto tonight states that they will be serving exotic four cheese pizza. (Lauren, this one's for you).
3: the fact that my cello teacher got rather angry at me today for not practicing something that she didn't assign me at last week's lesson because she was checking her email and thinking about what she was going to do after she got rid of me. The laughing (believe me, it was internal) began after I patiently sat through her rant about how I don't care enough about the cello yada yada yada and then told her that she'd never assigned that etude. One simple sentence can create such a look of shock on someone's face! But did she apologize? No, of course not. Oh well, that look was enough for me.
Time to get back to the actual spelling of the HAM mollusk. Adios!
