I no longer have any excuse!
I'm stuck at the Boy's house with my homework completed and nothing to do. So, I'll update.
School: It's fabulous. Computer class is a cinch. Film Appreciation is interesting, though I am surrounded by 70 18-year-olds and that is.... uggh. And American Government is by far my favorite. Thank the baby effing Jesus for that, too, because with any other professor, I'd be bored to tears. (Yes, yes, I would have sex with him, never mind that he's 64. Smarts on a man does something to me.)
Oh, Spanish? Well... Excessive group work proved to be my downfall. I kept having to leave the class to bring myself down from a panic attack. It's for the best. 16 units would have killed me.
Health: Meh. Same. Except that I went off of birth control, which caused me to gain a few pounds... Not happy about it.
Also, I went to the ENT doc about my vertigo. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong initially, but we still need a couple of tests to discount my ears altogether. If my ears are all spiffy, then I need to schedule an MRI and see wtf is wrong with me.
I need to do all this before my birthday, when my insurance is gone.
Watchmen: The graphic novel = holy fuck yes. The movie = holy fuck no. Okay I guess it wasn't that bad. And it's not like I was expecting it to be any good.
The thing that bothered me the most about the film was the fucking music. It was poorly chosen, inappropriately placed, and used as a fucking cop out to tell the viewer what decade the story was currently in. "I'm Your Boogie Man" as The Comedian is dispersing a crowd of rioters? Okay, Zack Snyder, I fucking get it, it's the 70s. "Hallelujah" during the gratuitous sex scene? Ugh. (Don't get me wrong, I love a good sex scene. But really, that was far too long.)
Speaking of The Comedian, though.... guh. Just. Guh. I know, I know... "But Roxy, he's a right-wing, woman-hating, murdering rapist." Yeah, I know. And he's also effing hot and I can't help if I'm turned on by assholes.
I'm off to a thing for The Kraut's sister's boyfriend's birthday or some such nonsense. I'll try to update more.
