New Business Model?
Why do certain clients (people, companies, departments, whatever) try to make things difficult on the people they pay to get stuff done for them? I ask because a department that I maintain a website for drags their feet giving me information yet demands that it be updated as soon as possible. They also wanted an entire website redesign early this year and I re-built the site from ground up, making it more database driven and much better than it was. They wanted it by July 1st but I'm still waiting on warranty information so there it sits. But as new products are introduced and old ones are discontinued, I've tried to keep the redesign database updated in the hopes that the new site would soon see the light of the web. Now, they are sending me all sorts of content to put on the redesign but I still don't know when (or if) the site will go live. I've asked twice (through the non-confrontational form of e-mail) when I can get the redesign finished with no answers. I'm fed up. Their passive-aggressive stooge they sic on me needs to grow a brain and figure out that she doesn't own me.
