Attack of the Rambling Update

Ethan's smitten. Again. But this time, it's different. I had him out and about, trying to break up the monotony. However, it's hard to be in a restaurant without knowing anyone else. You end up posing to yourself. I had given up on the scene, posing out, when another PC, Aurora, was leaving as well. Outside, they engaged in some small-talk before he offered to walk her home, saying he was going that way as well. Another PC, Alejandro, tried to convince her to take a cab since she had just met me. It was a battle of wits which Al thought he won when she decided on a cab, but she asked Ethan to join her. Go Ethan! He escorted her to her hotel and laid on the Texas-sized charm. I thought he might have been laying it on too thick with the compliments, but she accepted them with blushes. In the hotel lobby, they ran into James, who she'd met the day previous. They hung out in the lobby and Ethan was treated to some immature actions on the part of James, taking Ethan's seat next to Aurora when he got up for coffee. Odd. But Ethan and Aurora seemed to really hit it off.

He called her the next day, like she asked, and they went out on a date. He took her out to a semi-romantic dinner at a fancy place called Turrets. (Thanks for the financing, Shep!) They both had a wonderful time getting to know each other. After the dinner, he suggested they take a walk on the beach. There, they ran into James again. This time, he acted very pissy and obviously jealous. He ruined what would have been a nice ending to the date.

Their last scene together was the best so far. I can't divulge details, (a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell), but I think he's got even more interest in her now. She might be special in a way that would make her a great match for him. After the string of failed attempts to find that special someone, he might have struck gold. Only time will tell.

Yesterday, I was one busy guy. I ran up to Mt. Vernon to help my mom's boyfriend with moving gravel for a shed. Then, I went to my sister's to say 'Hi' to everyone. Kara is just adorable. Then, it was back to Columbus and a special Saturday Moo event with Matt. But I had to cut it short because of...

If it's not one virus, it's another. A couple of weeks ago it was a cold that might have developed into a sinus infection. Never went to the doctor, so I don't have any proof. But it's been hanging on in the form of a tight throat that stars bugging me at night.

Yesterday, I woke up with a red, irritated eye. I just felt like I had something in it so I didn't worry. Especially since I only had about five hours of sleep. Now, I'm pretty sure I've got conjunctivitis. Also known as pinkeye. Pinkeye?!? What adult get that? Having no experience with the disease, I went galavanting across the state, spreading the virus to family and friends. I hope I didn't get Kara. As contagious as it is, I might have to stay away from work tomorrow. But I don't know how to gauge it. It just sounds like a wimpy way to miss work.

Maybe I'm turning into a zombie. mrsmortal would like that.
