Just Checking In

Mar 13, 2009 23:53

Hi everyone. So, let Big Sister Lauren tell you a story (even though I'm probably younger than most of you guys, but anyway). It was Friday morning, 8:30 am. Lauren didn't have class until 11:30, and was planning to watch the first 2 PR: RPM and the 3rd subbed Shinkenger episodes before her 11:30 class. So she goes to turn on her computer, but it says that the file for her system configuration is corrupt or missing, and she can't even log in. She manages to keep her mind off it for the rest of the morning, thanks to K.'s (my current roommate) offer to use her laptop. Very nice indeed. Upon being picked up, as Spring Break is the coming week for her, they drop off the system unit to a friend of her mother's from work, who will try and fix the problem. He later calls, and says he thinks that the problem may be that the registry on the computer is corrupt. However, thankfully, Lauren is not currently home right now.

she and her parents are in Silver Springs, Maryland, but plan to spend up until sometime on Tuesday visiting museums and landmarks around the nation's capital, Washington D.C. Now I'm going to stop talking about myself in the 3rd person. We are currently in a Hampton Inn, and I am typing this down in the business center, away from my parents. We plan to go to the Air and Space museum tomorrow morning, and will have a tour of the Capitol at 1:40 tomorrow afternoon. I look forward to this trip, because it's some time off, but it will also take my mind off the fact that something is not right with my computer. I can only hope it will be fixed and ready for me to use again by the time this trip is over. I will try and be on whenever I can over the next few days, but it will likely only be early morning and late at night.

I know there's nothing anything you guys can do about this problem, but I needed to get it out of me. Thank you for listening f-list, you guys really mean the world to me.

I was able to watch the first episode of RPM this morning on K.'s laptop (thank god for youtube) and I have to say, Flynn & Dillon are in the running for favorite. Dillon because he's just such a badass and when Ziggy (what the hell kind of name is that anyway?) says "I don't want to get on your bad side." and Dillon's like "Don't worry, you're already on it." And FLYNN. I THINK I LOVE HIM ALREADY. When he was talking to that little girl on the bus, picked her up effortlessly and gave her to her mother (I presume that's who it was), it was too freaking adorable. AND HE'S SO SNARKY, I LOVE IT. It's really interesting, 'cause so far he seems a whole lot more different from Renn.

Okay, that was more than a few thoughts. And a last one, before I forget: Was Summer the one driving that motorcyle before the door slammed down? I hope it was, 'cause when was the last time we saw a girl driving a motorclycle? Ronny doesn't count because I think she had an ATV. So, it was probably Kira. but anyway, when I saw Scott for the first time, I was all like "Isn't his hair supposed to be longer?" But anyway, I must go off to sleep now, so see you guys Tuesday night, maybe Wednesday.
