Have you ever felt like there's only one or two people in the world that you can call friend?
I did yesterday. I had a pure life crisis. But I came out realising a lot.
What I've been calling friend doesn't appear to be the case.
Is a friend someone who reports back to someone exactly what was said? Or are they someone you can tell all your secrets to with no repercussions?
Is a friend someone who talks to you and just to dig up information? Or are they someone you actually cares about how YOU are?
Is a friend someone who can't admit when they're wrong or are they someone who tries to twist it 'round to make it out as if you are the wrong one?
Answers.com says "A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts." So how do you know you know someone when they are fake as hell? How do you know you like the real person they are? How do you know if you can or cannot trust someone until they keep or break it?
Search Google and you'll find 980,000,000 pages of friend.
What do you do when someone you consider a friend is more an aquintance?
What if the people you used to call friends have changed?
What if you know that your friends aren't sticking to the friendship guidelines?
What if you don't tell friends any secrets at all because you know you can't trust them? Does that even make them a friend? 'Cause well, if you can't trust them, then what?
Too much thinking.
So I've come to this conclusion, sometimes you have to swallow your pride and let them go. If any of this reminded you of yourself, then maybe you should take a good look at whether you can be called a friend anymore.
