Interview Roundup

Jan 11, 2010 06:29

I’ve participated in several interviews over the past few weeks, and for my one friend who honestly likes to read all of them - hi, Anastasia! - I’ve included the links below.

The first one was kind of scary, because it was an actual, real-time phone interview with a reporter for Publishers’ Weekly - wonderful children’s book author Sue Corbett. We spoke one Thursday morning at 6 a.m. my time, which sounds super-early, but I’m already back from walking my dogs by then and enjoying my coffee, so it was quite convenient. I'm used to doing blog interviews - in which you can take as much time as you need to make your answers coherent - so I was nervous that the Real Time Me would ramble and stammer and flail. I did … a bit. But Sue was very easy to talk to, and put me at ease right away. Our interview is the fourth “Flying Start” in this article:

Liz Burns, who blogs at A Chair, A Fireplace, and a Tea Cozy is posting interviews with all of the William C. Morris finalists on the YALSA blog. Mine appeared last week:

And finally, last year’s winner of the Morris Award - Elizabeth C. Bunce - is also hosting all of this year's finalists for the award on her blog. Mine is here:

One week from today, the winner will be announced! :-0
