I was planning to write a post all about lab tech shenanigans and my groundbreaking research in botched luciferase assays, but this happened instead.
My dog Venus died on Saturday. I am pretty devastated, particularly because I really wanted to make it home to see her one more time before she went. Venus was about 15 (she was a birthday present on my 5th birthday), which is very old for a Dalmation, but she was pretty healthy right up until the end. We have two other dogs, but Venus has always been my dog.
RIP, Venus Sunflower Fettig (I got to name her. I think this is a pretty good name for a 5 year old girl.)
